MATADOR Helps Oil Trading Company Leverage on Technology
In a strategic move to effectively manage critical business processes including contracts and inventory, the trading arm of a leading independent petroleum company engaged MATADOR® to develop a custom oil and gas trading system. The project kicked off in November and was completed in April 2010.
The commodity trading solution is designed to improve the efficiency of the trading process through process automation, secured system access and data consistency. This replaces a largely paper-based trading process which could be a security threat and is prone to human errors.
"From the onset, we were confident that MATADOR would deliver a solution that will improve our ability to respond to market opportunities and support our future growth objectives. They were spot-on in defining the project scope. Their strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications has added an extra dimension to the usability and functionality of our oil and gas trading system," said the company's Managing Director. "MATADOR has helped us leverage IT to enable maximum employee productivity and business growth."
"We are pleased to be able to meet the company's business software needs and we anticipate further expansion of the system to meet the company’s steady growth," said Mathew Boylan, President and Chief Executive Officer, MATADOR Systems Pte Ltd.
